RUBcast
Why?

By using multimedia content teaching can be replenished wisely. Self dependent learning in a flexible frame is being developed and the preparation and post processing of the learning content offers the students the possibility to work on their individual shortcomings.
Further possible ways for making use of recordings arise out of manifold blended Learning scenarios. A recorded session can also be used in the following semester for a better exam preparation.
In this way recordings of time staggered guest lecturers or interviews can be offered to the students and can establish a practical reference.
What?
The RUBcast-Team helps you with the following possible ways of recording:
• Podcasts (mp3-Audio)
• Vodcasts (internet video)
• Rich media content (lecture recordings incl. transparencies, synchronized with audio and video)
• Educational film/ video tutorials/ experiments
Please take a look at our corresponding examples.
From a didactical point of view different criteria can be of importance during a recording. In case any questions arise we arrange an individual counseling interview.
For publishing your recordings we offer the following technical solutions:
• Blackboard/Moodle
If your material shall only be accessible to a limited number of participants a password protected Blackboard- or Moodle course is advisable.
• RUBcast-Portal
The RUBcast-homepage offers an easy and comfortable access (integrated player, subscription via RSS) to your podcasts and vodcasts and is freely accessible.
• Data medium (offline)
The finished video material can also be made available as a DVD, CD or on a USB flash drive.
How?
We support you in gaining own competence in audio and video recordings. Part of this support is an introduction into recording, the exchange of experience and technical emergency support. In each case we can help out with recorders.
Furthermore we offer full service, which can be made use of for individual courses up to whole semester assistance.
If you are interested in a non-binding test recording of your course please contact us.
